Note: Once the lock is set, it cannot be opened without the combination. Please record your new combination in a safe place.
Q: My Kingsley lock box won’t close. What do I do?
A: The lock only closes when set to the current combination. For example, if the code is 1234
, align to that to close the lock. Scramble the numbers afterward to secure it. This applies to both hanging and wall-mounted models.
Q: My Kingsley 22L Padlock won’t open. What should I do?
A: Ensure the combination is correct, then depress the shackle before pulling. This is a common step people overlook. If issues persist, please contact us.
Q: I’ve forgotten my combination or didn’t record it. Is there an override?
A: No override exists. Try combinations close to your original, like 0234
, 1235
, 1233
, etc.
If successful, reset the code using the newly discovered combination. Refer to the instructions above.
Note: Always store your new code in a safe place. If recovery fails, contact us for support.
Q: I know the code, but the lock won’t open. Is it broken?
A: 99% of the time, the lock is not defective. It’s often due to an incorrect code or accidental reset. If you believe it’s defective, please contact us to begin the replacement process.
Q: My lock was hard to open and had to be cut off. Will Kingsley replace it?
A: Kingsley locks are covered against mechanical defects for the life of the product. If a mechanical defect is confirmed, we’ll replace the lock free of charge. You may need to return the original lock to us first.
Q: Will Kingsley reimburse locksmith charges?
